Accommodating resistance equipment
By Shane Davenport Each year, the strength-specific science on the use of accommodating resistance grows, but the practice seems to stay disappointingly stagnant with coaches and athletes.
Typically, we see the same approach of adding bands to squats to help with max strength, or using chains to help bring up a bench press that may be lagging.
You would get more response if you asked what the difference is between the different types of resistance and their application.
It is NOT a question on the ISSA TEST as all test questions are true or false & multiple choice.
I’ll state, however, that it is not a smart idea to rush into any method of training, and the use of these methods should still be part of a greater plan as a whole.
